DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN MACHINERY MAINTENANCE IN A LOOM CONSTRUCTION COMPANY

Resumo

The management of maintenance information in a loom manufacturing company presents significant challenges. After technical analysis, the need to enhance the record-keeping of CNC machine maintenance was identified, aiming to improve efficiency and communication among the involved departments. Based on the Design Science Research (DSR) approach, the study proposed the creation of an application, with the collaboration of company experts, to identify four main needs: access to occurrences, problem description, record of improvement activities, and cloud storage. The implementation of the application resulted in significant improvements, including clearer information, reduced machine downtime, and better maintenance planning. This digital transformation proved to be an effective strategy to optimize processes and increase operational efficiency within the company, highlighting the importance of integrating technologies to overcome challenges in the industry.
