Technological innovations have revolutionized the industry in the last decade. With a focus on efficiency, sustainability, and cost reduction, industry 4.0 has incorporated emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), edge processing, cloud computing, and, more recently, fog computing. The convergence of these technologies has given rise to the concept of Edge Cloud Computing (ECC), an integrated approach that optimizes the processing and transmission of data in industrial environments. This work brings together the application of these technologies, proposing an architecture for an Intelligent Monitoring System applied to Electrical Wire Factories using low-cost hardware and a proposal with ECC. The results confirm the research hypotheses, which involved the feasibility of executing AI models at the edge and the effectiveness of the ECC architecture, indicating improvements in the manufacturing ecosystem.
