PROSPECÇÃO DE FERRAMENTAS PARA GESTÃO DE PESQUISA E DESENVOLVIMENTO EM INSTITUIÇÕES DE CIÊNCIA E TECNOLOGIA

Abstract

The analysis of groups of researchers and their respective productions are relevant and complex activities. As new knowledge is generated, it is necessary to evaluate all these productions, especially in terms of quality and impact. In Brazil, researchers feed the Lattes database with all their pertinent technical-scientific productions. In light of this scenario, this study aims to present the scenario of the main extraction and analysis tools of the Lattes Platform through the realization of a technological prospection. Also, identify how Higher Education Institutions publicize the technical-scientific production of their researchers. This study is characterized as exploratory, descriptive, and quantitative-qualitative research. The results show that none of the analyzed extraction tools met all the necessary functionalities for researchers' scientometric evaluation. Also, it identified that Higher Education Institutions have a greater tendency to organize their indicators and disseminate data in sets of static pages. The study concludes by suggesting the need for a new technological solution that meets essential features to aid in decision-making in research management, especially concerning the interactive visualization of information.
