Digital transformation is a trend in industries arising from the fourth industrial revolution and the growing need for companies to increase efficiency and agility to remain competitive. In this sense, the digitization of processes is an important component for this transformation. However, the classic development methods for creating digital applications have high costs and implementation times - which make it difficult to digitize the processes. In this context, the low-code approach emerges as a viable alternative to facilitate the digital transformation of industries. This paradigm has as main benefits the greater speed for implementing digital solutions and the greater efficiency generated through data integrations. These and other characteristics allow for less complexity to carry out process improvements, using digital technologies. However, as it is a recent theme, there are few studies that analyze the forms of application, advantages and challenges of this approach in the digitization of industry processes. Thus, this work has as main objective to investigate the digital transformation of industries through low-code. For this, a bibliographical review of this theme and an analysis of related case studies were carried out. As main result, a model for application implementation using this approach was proposed. Furthermore, it was possible to contribute with a better understanding of the benefits of low-code as a strategy for the digital transformation of the industry.
