Abstract

With the growing need to serve customers with greater quality, seeking competitive advantages, it is essential that service employees remain properly uniformed. For this need to be met, the company must deliver these uniforms, maintaining a coherent and well-defined process flow in the logistics of this material. This article aims to optimize the supply flow in the process of acquiring work uniforms in a chain of department stores in Joinville through lean thinking. To meet this objective, it was necessary to analyze the current process flow and apply purchasing management, inventory management and process management tools. These applications resulted in the elimination of waste, increased process quality and a linear flow, without bifurcations, looping’s and low complexity.
