Resumo

Social Finance refers to directing public and private capital to impact businesses or actions that use financial mechanisms with a commitment to generating social impact with financial sustainability. They differ from philanthropy and traditional finance by combining social values, whether Equity Funds, Crowdfunding, Loans and Social Funds, that is, they are investments with the objective of financial return and social impact, unlike traditional credit line offers marketed by Institutions Financial. This article's research question is the following: How can social finance become an appropriate financing model for small businesses and what entrepreneurial behaviors are necessary to implement them in programs and projects related to Sebrae? Therefore, the central objective of the research is to propose financing alternatives for small businesses using the attributes of social finance as a reference and to show the entrepreneurial behaviors necessary to implement this type of social finance. The aim is to show the relevance of social finance for small businesses served by Sebrae and propose an innovative model introducing the use of social finance by this audience. The main result of this research was to insert the attributes of social finance in improving the financing model for small businesses. The main practical implication is the possibility of Sebrae introducing the attributes of social finance and thus innovating small businesses.
