Strategic Asset Management – control of fixed assets through the innovation of RFID technology.

Abstract

When well designed, asset management involves revealing benefits to companies, mainly in cost reduction and rational organizational processes, allowing the company to offer an even more competitive product. Within this context, the study starts from the problem whose companies need to keep constantly updated, keeping abreast of all their assets and the trends and advances that can be applied. This encompasses optimization tools and tactics, whose key role is to ensure that all process-related assets can deliver high-quality results; thus arises RFID technology to facilitate all asset monitoring, innovate with smart tags that control in real time the location of the asset. This study is justified by the fact that asset management is very useful for a better understanding. And so, having greater control over their characteristics, it is possible to know when to replace them and establish what the maintenance plan will be for each one. This predictability reduces costs and avoids inconvenience. And the type of methodology used in the study was qualitative, descriptive and exploratory. With the study, we consider that the technological resource and innovation in the process favors the control of permanent assets, since it greatly reduces the possibility of errors, thus, with the "smart tags", that is, "smart tags", present in the stocked items. , so it is possible to have a precise control of all the stocked goods. It is soon noticed that such a system aims at greater precision of the stored products.
