Abstract

The Dominican educational system has an urgent need to respond to the situation that year after year is reflected as a challenge, where public sector educational centers offer insufficient quotas for the existing demand, and many families are forced to enroll their children in centers distant from their residences, or forced to enroll in colleges. Admission and access to compulsory public schooling requires automation tools. With this challenge, the general objective of the research is to contribute through SISNAE as software to guarantee reliability and quality of said process in the polytechnics of Santiago. As specific objectives are raised: know the characteristics of the qualification criteria for admission; identify the mechanisms, strategies and techniques applied in the access and admission of educational centers; analyze the strengths and weaknesses of said system reflected in the admission and access to schooling; and contribute, through the development of an automated computer tool, to the reduction of risks of arbitrariness existing in these processes. Supported with the methods: hypothetical-deductive, historical-logical, through empirical systematization, through observations, interviews, questionnaires and document analysis. Results were obtained that offer a more efficient, effective service with the necessary levels of effectiveness to guarantee more equitable access to public schooling, proposing software for the automation of the aforementioned process, contributing to the debate on access to compulsory schooling, and its impact on needy families and in conditions of poverty.
