Abstract

This article discusses the importance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in business logistics management and highlights how these metrics can improve the performance and efficiency of logistics operations. KPIs are key indicators that make it possible to monitor and evaluate progress in relation to the strategic and operational objectives set by companies.

Logistics plays a crucial role in the success of an organization, as it encompasses all the activities related to the flow of materials, information and services from the source to the end consumer. However, to ensure efficient logistics, it is essential to continuously measure and monitor the performance of logistics operations.

In this context, key performance indicators become fundamental in this process, as they provide a clear and objective view of various logistics aspects, such as delivery times, transportation costs, stock levels, delivery accuracy, among others. By establishing and monitoring relevant indicators, companies can identify areas for improvement, identify bottlenecks and proactively take corrective action.
