Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present a technique for implementing Visual Management in a dairy company as a tool for improving productivity and quality control. Visual Management is a key component of Lean Manufacturing, derived from the Toyota Production System (TPS), which seeks to increase efficiency and eliminate production waste. Many companies adopt the TPS to face competition and innovate by reducing costs and minimizing losses. Moreover, it simplifies the understanding of complex production processes, enhances efficiency, and reduces defects, fostering transparency and communication on the shop floor. This study involved identifying critical sectors, defining major quality issues, and creating a visual model using Microsoft Power BI. Operational limits were established, and the data collection process was reorganized to integrate the tool while training operators. Finally, the results from the implementation of this solution were demonstrated, showing that the tool effectively improved the mapping, monitoring, and optimization of key production indicators. The ability to quantify previously unmeasured data enabled faster and more accurate responses, facilitating more efficient data management, problem-solving, and decision-making.
