Abstract

Given the constant technological evolution of the agricultural sector and the demand for solutions that enable the productivity of equipment making them more efficient, abrasion wear is considered as it plays an important role due to parts and parts of this equipment have direct contact with the ground. Thus, this project aims to develop a White Iron Alloy for use in abrasive resistant in parts and pieces of machinery and equipment in order to obtain a better result compared to the alloys currently used. In this project the chemical composition was developed to obtain specimens through the casting, heat treatment and laboratory analysis processes in order to analyze the data obtained on the samples. By obtaining an alloy with mechanical properties presenting results above the current one envisions adding value to the final product minimizing the equipment downtime for its replacement as these are wear elements, with the prolonged service life, minimizing the environmental impact. due to procurement processes and thus seek continuous improvement in relation to research and development of new products.
