Abstract

Training Programs must develop skills compatible with the activities that will be performed by the collaborators, however, there is a perspective where the instructor teaches without using didactic strategies, hindering the learning and capacity to innovate and absorb the proposed content. When we talk about Occupational Safety, the Training effectiveness becomes even more important, since knowledge blanks can directly reflect on the workers’ conduct and the safety of the workplace. Considering the lack of effective training and the necessity to make the employee the protagonist of the learning process, this project’s objective was to evaluate the implementation of a board game about Occupational Safety in the Multinational Company, through the employees' answers to the survey regarding the use of this new tool in the learning process. The methodology was divided into two steps: the game creation and application of the tool followed by a survey. The answers indicated that the traditional training model does not fully reach the employees’ expectations presenting opportunities related to the language and communication of the instructor, training quantity and duration, challenging and motivation of the employee regarding the traditional training. When asked about the use of games as a complement to the training process, 100% of the collaborators agreed that the tool encourages the assimilation of content, promotes interest, and improves skills on the subject. As we have seen, including gamification in industrial training programs is an interesting way to improve skills and encourage learning through a dynamic and playful experience.
