EVASION FACTORS THAT PROVIDE STUDENTS QUIT IN A PRIVATE INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN BLUMENAU

This study aimed to analyze the factors that influence evasion in a higher education institution in the city of Blumenau. It is characterized as a descriptive quantitative research with longitudinal perspective through primary data collection, using a questionnaire of closed questions asked to students who have already quit. Data were collected from 137 students who have quit in two periods, 2014 and 2015, which were measured by Likert scale 1-5 and analyzed using partial correlation. Standing out as major results in descending order according to evasion the influence of force, the internal factors to higher education institution, afterwards the individual factors of the student and then the external factors to higher education institution. We also observed that the higher education institution need to create strategies to improve the professionals conditioning who are directly linked to " general quality of courses," and more specifically "teacher quality" in order to seek higher rates of students "loyalty".
