As changes in the work and training, new skills of professionals and new theories of learning are increasingly applied to accompany these changes. In this sense, the experiential learning enables the training of a professional prepared for the work practice. The article aims to understand how the learning process occurs during a professional training course, in the light of David Kolb's theory of experimental learning. The present study describes the qualitative approach, the exploratory and descriptive objectives, with bibliographic procedures that use thematic analysis. For this, four teachers were interviewed who currently teach subjects at the researched professional education institution. The aim of this work was to establish a relationship between a way in which the learning process and to develop a theory of experimental learning, the results demonstrated that experiential learning is widely used in the student's training process in the investigated institution.Downloads
